Museums and Coincidence
One of the best things to do in DC is visiting the museums especially since they are mostly free. But as I said previously, museums have been ruined by the convenience of cameras. So many people are taking pictures of everything like they have to archive it. At least we don't have to worry about not having things captured in unprofessional photos usually with a thick layer glass in between. But it's annoying that people are capturing everything and taking so time rather than taking it in in the moment.
The most enjoyable museum has to be the National Archive. It's not just because there are usually no lines at exhibits since there is no photography allowed (even in the Rotunda, there is no line in there). For those who don't know, the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, Emancipation Proclamation, and so many more so documents is located here. 8.5x11 was definitely not the standard paper size...
The National Gallery of Art is no joke in size. I'm not sure if it was my legs getting tired from all the walking from the past day or the museum was like a massive maze and induce mental strain.
It was crazy seeing a friend from high school right outside the Capitol. Such a coincidence! Especially on a Saturday. It was definitely a pleasure getting to speak with him and hear what he's up to. I love it when I catch up with people and see them doing so well for themselves.
