Everyone knows The True Life of Pi.
But it seems like Pi Day has become more significantly popular over the previous years. And Google searches have been higher the past two years than previous years:

I'm sure this year will continue this trend.
But why do we care so much about Pi Day? It may have to be all the pie that will be served to honor pi. Maybe people are just extremely interested in the number that represents the ratio of a circles' circumference and its diameter; I know I was in disbelief that all circles had the some ratio when I heard it the first time in middle school.
But I think the mathematic teachers of the past and present have provided the inspiration for loving pi day. Who doesn't remember that math obsessed mathematics teacher? The one that hysterical when you start learning something fundamental or doing a proof. I was very fortunate to have amazing and enthusiastic mathematic teachers in grade school that built a strong foundation that led to my engineering career. So let's thank mathematic teachers for Pi Day! Maybe Archimeded too...
