2017 in Review
I began the year with a post about being deliberate with continuing goals to controlling expectations/enthusiasm, having strong opinions which are weakly held, working on priorities, and continuously growing as an individual.
Photography (my photography site) gave me opportunities to see things I could not have imagined. My passion for photography has pushed me to doing more things in which I was not comfortable with, whether that be traveling to a certain location or doing a type of shoot. Fortunately, photography can be an activity that can be done solo or be shared with others; the mix makes it easy to incorporate it into my life. I was lucky to have had many opportunities to capture various moments of people's lives ranging from proposals, weddings, the beginning of growing families, and even stardom for a few dachshunds. There is so much to improve on!
What's my favorite photo I've taken? Hopefully, the one I take tomorrow.
One of the aspect I've improved upon over the past year is being more open minded about others and putting more effort to empathize with others. Various relationships have grown tremendously due to being more empathic. Unfortunately, the trend to generalize seems to be increasing.
2017 was filled with spending time with friends and family, old and new, near and far. Though, I am constantly reflecting on how I can possibly help build relationships in which align to my life priorities; this has helped me to further appreciate those who support me and encourage me to grow. It's been a year filled with love with some heartbreaking moments as well; 2017 emphasized how love is worth all the trials and tribulations.
While I have developed profoundly in the past year, I have so much to work on in 2018. The process of growing continues and never stops.
