Sleeping
This puts a whole new meaning to sleep to clear your mind. It'll be interesting to see what will come from this especially if Alzhimer's is related to the lack of eliminating beta-amyloid (or even it's the overproduction of it). I wonder what it would feel like to be awake while taking the drug that put the brain in this state (if it's even possible).
I find it captivating that sleep, something we all do for large portions of our lives, is still very mysterious. I'm fortunate (I think) to only need about five hours to operate fine. Lucid dreaming is quite common in my sleep and am able to control the environment at times too. Who can forget that time as a teen where you're peeing in your dream and in reality? I haven't had a out-of-body experience yet nor encountered sleep paralysis. Thankfully, I haven't had insomnia as I can sleep through most conditions (Thanks UConn for that skill!). According my Basis watch, I sleep in the low 90s (of 100) consistently.
After searching "sleep" on my blog, I realized how often I have written about sleep. It does take more than a third of our lives! Would someone like to Feng Shui my bedroom?
