I Need More Life

Battery life, of course!
From all the advancements in mobile technology, I have been most disappointed in battery life. Maybe I was spoiled by a crazy battery life of my Sony Ericsson s710 lasting for like 5 days of regular use. To this day I am still bitter and angry about it getting stolen from my locker in gym class! But those were the good old days.
I may be asking for too much but I want to go at least a few days without the need to charge my phone. But this seems to be a tough task for manufacturers. This is probably a hardware and software limitation. I can barely get through a full day without charging and that's limiting my usage towards the end to make sure I have some power in case of emergencies. I've heard the iPhone has decent battery life but it only up to like two days. Apple usually produces products with great life like my Macbook Pro. It had a battery life of about 2.5 hours, which has much longer than anything else on the market at the time.
Just imagine how great it would be not having to worry about battery life until the end of the month! What are ways to achieve this besides battery technology? Looking at it in a different prospective, how can we continually power/charge our devices without being disturbed by doing it? Wireless transfer of power would be awesome. Being able to walk inside a building (workplace) and charge your cell phone would be amazing. Maybe a more reasonable technology would be solar power but there's very limited to the outdoors. But as it is now, it's not very convenient for the consumer.
What would be better is a device that doesn't need charging out of the box for the life of the device. But those are just my fantasy! But one day it will happen!
